Chironji dal – Kerala Style


20g chironji (soaked)

1 tbsp ghee

½ tsp cumin seeds

4 Peppercorns

½ tbsp ginger, finely chopped

2green chillies (slit)

½ tbsp. coriander powder

1 tsp rock salt

½ tsp chilly powder

¼ Cup grinded coconut

 coriander leaves

How to make it

Rub the chironji seeds to expel the husk, dispose of the husk. Grind in to paste, Or after grinding mix with water… Heat the ghee and add cumin, Ginger, pepper cones in to it, then stir it for a while, When it become brown add grinded coconut into that and stir the mixture up to  ghee and mixture will separate from each other ,then add coriander powder , salt, green chilies , chilly powder in to the mixture and stir it for while, After that add the chironji mixture and also add some water accordingly and boil it , last add the coriander leaf for garnishing …
